Weston Minor Hockey League entered two peewee teams into the 2nd Annual Canadian Tire Cup Peewee tournament. Team Weston North in Red jerseys finished with a SILVER medal in the Yardworks division after 5 hard fought games, 4 of which they won. Their 4th game in the series went to a very long 5 periods where they were successful in pulling out the 2-1 win to move onto the Championship game.
Team Weston South in Black jerseys finished their final of 5 hard fought games on top taking the Noma division championship game to win the GOLD medal for their division in the tournament.
An outstanding effort was put in by all players as was shown by their success. A lot of fun was had and thanks goes out to the coaching staff and organizers for ensuring this opportunity was available for our peewee players. A special thank you to our own tournament organizers for exempting us from our own Last Gasp tournament schedule in order to play in this tournament.
